Medical Scrubs: Comfort and Fashion Rolled into One!

Medical scrubs have also moved beyond the medical industry because of the sheer comfort of the apparel.  This trend can be seen on a daily basis, as more and more individuals choose to wear scrubs while out running errands or as pajamas.  The durability of the clothing as well as the comfort make for a great buy whether purchasing medical scrubs for personal or professional attire.

We know they are a necessary part of the medical industry, with scrubs being worn in almost all medical fields.  The comfort and ease of medical scrubs as well as apparel make them the perfect fit for individuals working in the medical industry.  Medical scrubs have evolved into stylish looks that provide the maximum comfort while working in the medical field.  The medical field typically requires being on your feet for long periods of time, in which the medical scrubs and apparel industry offers nursing clog shoes.  These shoes offer much needed comfort and durability for those long hours on your feet.  When children visit a medical office, they are often uneasy and in need of reassurance.  One way to help children feel at ease in a medical situation would be to wear animal print scrubs.  These scrubs meet the purpose of comfort and also provide children with a sense of being in a kid friendly environment.  A wide variety of medical scrubs and apparel can be found in this scrubs catalog.  Today’s changing times have brought forth a new combination when it comes to medical scrubs, which combines comfort with fashion to create a professional work environment that assures the best quality in medical scrubs.

Check out the medical scrubs catalog for quality at an affordable price!

Birthday Wishes to a special person in my life!

There are people that come into our lives for a reason and my niece Betty is one of those people.  She came into my life when I was still a little girl and has since seen me through many trials and tribulations.  She was there for my mom (her grandma) and was one of the few people to spend quality time with her, even when she fell ill.  She was there when I went on my first date with Tony, now my husband.  She was in my wedding and I was in hers.  Betty has listened to me when things were tough, even when I just needed to vent out my pain or tell her something great that happened.  She stood by me when I lost my mom and checked in to make sure I was doing okay.  She was often mistaken as my sister, and in my eyes she is my sister in every aspect.  To be loved unconditionally is a rare thing, something to cherish and in my heart I know that Betty will be by my side no matter what, and that means the world to me.

Her energy for life and her huge heart inspire me always and I wanted to send her special birthday wishes and let her know that she is not just my niece, she is my best friend, my confidant and my rock.

We should all be so lucky to have someone like her in our lives.

A Jericho Movie……….

For everyone that has been waiting for good Jericho news…….we just got GREAT Jericho news……..in an interview with Jon Turteltaub in iFMagazine he talked about Jericho and said  “We’re developing a feature for JERICHO, “It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it get into life after an event like this on a national scale. It would be the bigger, full on American version of what’s going on beyond the town in Jericho.”

This is super fantabulous news and a little bird told Zac and Shelby that this news is right on……..and the development and continuation of Jericho is in the works!

Check out the article at http://www.ifmagazine.com/new.asp?article=7427.

Why we NEED to support our troops

Why we NEED to support our troops

By: Zac

Our troops need our support for the War on “Terrorism” because they wouldn’t feel like they had a reason to be in Iraq without it.  They need things like duct tape, toiletries, and cds or movies to watch like Jericho. The soldiers need these because the army may not supply them. These items will also make them feel more at home. Writing letters to the soldiers telling them how good of a job they are doing will make them feel a million times better and give them a reason to wake up everyday they are in Iraq. The same thing happened in Jericho. Without the support of the citizens of Jericho, nothing would have changed and a civil war would not have started to reunite the whole country. And it only took one small town to make change. You can make change too. Send a letter to a soldier telling them how good of a job they are doing, send in some duck tape, or send them a Season 2 DVD set of Jericho to keep them occupied. You could also ask your local community if they could get a fundraiser together and send money to the troops. Now let me make one thing clear: THE TROOPS DID NOT HAVE ANY SAY IN WEITHER TO GO TO IRAQ OR NOT THAT WAS THE PRESIDENT’S CALL SO DO NOT HATE THE TROOPS FOR BEING IN IRAQ. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS ALWAYS SUPPORT THE TROOPS EVEN IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH THE POLITICIANS. If you feel that way, then send a letter to your local congressmen or senator and ask them to support funding for the troops. I hope the War on Iraq will not last a long time and I hope the troops can get home as soon as possible. God bless the troops, and all the people who support the troops, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neil Diamond helps Hurricane Victims in Houston

Neil Diamondhome sweet home by JCS

Neil Diamond said at his concert that he visited Houston and discovered families living in tents and in their cars because their homes were destroyed. This is a cause that J4K believes in and we hope that anyone attending of Mr. Diamond’s concerts will either purchase merchandise or donate to the fund to help the families at Oak Island.  Imagine spending the holidays in a tent or even worse sleeping in you car with your entire family.  It is not the way it should be and Mr. Diamond is working to make sure that these families have a place to call home!! All of the proceeds from the merchandise sold at his concerts will go to help the community of Oak Island in the Houston area build homes.  To learn more check out these links  http://www.neildiamond.com/pages/news/669 and http://www.neildiamond.com/pages/news/671 and consider helping the families of Oak Island.  After all, we all need a place to call home!

The Perfect Vacation!

The J4K family was fortunate to be able to take a vacation to a tropical paradise in 2003.  It was an incredible experience, and what made it the best experience was the “all inclusive” resort where we lodged.  To be so close to the beach and have the luxury of knowing that all of our meals, drinks and many of the water sports were all included with the resort.  Our family would recommend an all inclusive vacation to anyone wanting to travel to their own tropical paradise!  For your vacation need check out this jamaica all inclusive resort for great value and star treatment!  There are vacations to suit all of your needs, including family settings and romantic vacations for two.  A great way to celebrate the beginning of your life together is caribbean weddings.  This provides a beautiful setting for the wedding as well as the opportunity for all of your friends and family to join you for a tropical experience they will never forget.  Our tropical experience still stands as our favorite vacation.  The relaxation of the beach, the lack of stress in knowing that we did not have to worry about our food and drinks as well as the multitude of activities available for all ages are what made this the perfect vacation.  Next time you are planning a vacation consider an all inclusive experience!

Birthdays and Memories……….

Birthdays are a special time to celebrate when we were born, but it also holds special meaning in many other ways too.  Each year as I celebrate birthday’s of friends and family, memories bring to mind all of the times shared, the trials and tribulations we all go through as well as the laughter and joy  of just plain living.

Yesterday was my brother’s birthday, my oldest brother, who holds a special place in my heart as the person who was there for me as a little girl, the one who bought me the plastic tomahawk that I so innocently utilized on many a knee :-)  I want to wish him a happy birthday and let him know how proud I am to call him my big brother!

Today is my mom’s birthday.  My mentor, my moral compass, my guide in all things life could bring me, and most of all my best friend.  She passed away 11 years ago, after a hard fought fight with illness, in our home, in her sleep, peacefully.  I think of her when things get tough, because she was able to endure the toughest of times and do it with the most positive attitude!  My mom was the “neighborhood mom”, I grew up watching her feed and cloth children who would not otherwise have received such care.  I watched her survive cancer 24 years beyond her grim “4 months to live” diagnosis, and I saw the person that I most wanted to be in her.  Shelby did not get to meet her grandmother, as I was 8 months pregnant when my mom passed away, but I see so much of my mom in both of my children.  I see their love of life and the way that they can make a positive out of a negative.  Most of all I see their drive to do good things, to be there for those who need help and to stand up for what they believe in.  My mom lives on, her spirit is with us, and with my children, and for that I am grateful.  As I type on this web site that two years ago would have seemed a mere pipe dream, I think of how her influence led to this point in my life and the life of my family.

Thanks mom for inspiring me to be a better person and for always reminding me that nothing is impossible.

Happy Birthday!

How to obtain optimal quality from a new home entertainment system

When our 50 inch television finally went out of commission, our search for a new home entertainment system began.  Having owned our television for 12 years it was quickly brought to our attention just how much technology had changed.  We compared rear projection with LCD and also considered the fact that HD was slowly becoming the norm and would eventually be necessary in order to watch television.  It turned out that choosing the right television was the easy part because setting it up to work with HD and surround sound was quite a task.  We needed specific cables and connections which took several trips back to the retailer and hours of testing and retesting to assure that the connections were right.  This was just the television as we also worked to determine the appropriate way to connect the DVR and DVD Player.

The process of setting up our home entertainment system would have been much easier had we known about a service offered by South West Audio Visual (SWAV).  SWAV offers the highest quality set up that will bring out all of the enhancements offered by an entertainment system.  For example, we did not connect our speakers appropriately, leaving us with poor sound quality.  SWAV would have done this for us had we known about their service.  The new technology in home entertainment systems requires a great deal of technical knowledge.  Without this knowledge, items such as blu-ray and HD can be set up improperly, resulting in poor quality from a high quality product.  South West Audio Visual offers a reliable, high quality service that can set up basic home entertainment systems as well as high tech home theaters.  As you move into the new world of high tech home entertainment systems, turn to Home Theater San Diego  for a reliable, high quality set up that will be tailored to fit your needs. Home Theater San Diego  is where you can find South West Audio Visual in order to make setting up your entertainment system an expedient process with optimal results!

Looking for quality hotel, restaurant and spa uniforms?

During a search for quality uniforms for my niece’s restaurant, one place that caught our attention is iDbyLandau.com.  Why did this specific web site catch our attention?  Because we were in search of quality apparel that fits with a modern theme while remaining comfortable for the employees.  The restaurant uniforms featured at the iD by Landau web site had a professional appeal while at the same time conveying a casual dress code that was sure to provide comfort for all.  The most appealing part was the wide variety of color choices, which easily mix and match to provide affordable uniforms that easily coordinate. iD by Landau clearly understands that there is no “cookie cutter” size, offering extra small sizes as well as plus size options.  The hotel uniforms were classic in style whether they were for front desk personnel or the hotel manager.  The spa uniforms were trim lined classic styles that offered a clean look and could be color coordinated to match the exquisite style of any spa.

iD by Landau is a new web site that features all of these custom items, with embroidery services available.  For all of your restaurant, hotel and spa uniform needs go to www.iDbyLandau.com.  This was one of our top choices for purchasing restaurant uniforms and once you take a look, it will certainly be one of your favorite choices as well.

Classic Cars: Which is your favorite?

Classic cars take me back to my high school days and dreams of owning a 1968 Camaro.  The 1968 Camaro is still a classic muscle car that I would someday love to own.  My daughter loves the classic style of the Plymouth Barracuda and dreams of owning one someday.  While thinking about my younger days, I wondered if classic cars, such as my beloved 1968 Camaro, were still in demand and better yet, even available.  What better place to start than the information highway, so I started my search on the Internet.  The answer to that question can be found at the muscle car classifieds.  This web site features classic and muscle cars for those that would like to buy muscle car and those that would like to sell muscle car.  The best part is the pricing is reasonable to use the service and the quality and variety offered gives everyone the opportunity to search for that perfect trip down memory line.  For me, searching the muscle car classifieds confirmed that my dream car does still exist and is still attainable.  What classic car did you dream of owning as a teen?  You still have the chance to find it in the muscle car classifieds , and with a multitude of purchasing opportunities, that range from fixer upper to mint condition, the sky is the limit.  Check out the muscle car classifieds and take a stroll down memory lane.

Get fit with Wii and have fun at the same time!

My neighbor recently invited my husband in to check out his wife’s birthday gift.  Two hours later my husband was still in the neighbors house.  I went over to let him know dinner was ready and found him bowling in the neighbor’s basement.  No, my neighbor does not have a bowling alley in his basement, but he did buy his wife a Nintendo Wii.  What is a Wii you ask?  It is the newest must have video gaming system.  I knew little about the Wii until that day.  Although the Wii if chock full of incredibly realistic games, it can also be used to get into shape.  Our neighbor bought the Wii for his wife because she had heard great things about the Wii Fit program.  He loved the fact that it offered Nintendo Wii Sports.   After several weeks, my neighbor noted that the entire family used his wife’s birthday gift, and the fitness component was something that they all enjoyed!  The best part about it for me was that they were doing something together as a family while getting into shape.  I decided to check out the price of a Nintendo Wii in order to buy one for my family.  Most all main stream stores carry the Nintendo products, including the Wii and the Nintendo DS, however, finding these items at a reasonable price was my goal.  I searched the web and found www.savebuckets.com. Savebuckets.com provided comparison shopping in order to offer the lowest price for the Nintendo Wii, the Wii Fit , and the Nintendo DS, giving me a one stop shopping experience.  Check out www.savebuckets.com for all of your shopping needs, as they provide quality comparison pricing for all of the Wii products as well as a multitude of other products!

Getting Organized in Cyberspace

Getting organized in can be a job in itself.  Jericho4Kids faced recently faced that situation in an attempt to free up space for new content.  One solution that we considered turned out to be quite impressive in that the services offered by www.phase2.com covered everything.  The hosting via  microsoft dynamics crm hosting seemed like a great solution in all that it offered the customer.  The freedom of a worry free hosting product was appealing.  The best part was that the products could be purchased in a wide variety of packages offering Software as a Service (SaaS) to create an efficient way to utilize all the needs of a business with easy online access.  Purchasing a package using a hosted microsoft dynamics crm is an effective way in which to store important documents, access them from anywhere via the Internet and not have to purchase all of the software needed to run a business.  The microsoft crm server is like visiting an all inclusive resort, providing a one stop place to access and store data.  The best part is that a company can use this product and aleviate the need for an IT department or data center, which results in money saved.  This product was the most affordable for the product being offered, which sealed the deal for me in regard to which I would choose to purchase when the time comes.  Check out www.phase2.comand be well on your way to saving money with the reassurance that 24 hour support is just a phone call away.

Shelby’s Autograph Giveaway………Updated

First, we would like to thank everyone that donated to DVDs for the Troops!  You all rock!! Our troops need our support and sending them things to do in their free time is a great way to let them know that we are thinking of them.  Thank you to everyone!

The autographs have all been sent out except Candace Bailey and D.B. Sweeney.  Candace has sent hers to us, they are on the way, as soon as we receive them they will be sent out.  D.B. Sweeney has been very, very busy and with what we think was a mail problem, we are working on getting the autographs from him too.  As soon as we know more an update will be posted.

Thank again to everyone for helping our troops,

The J4K Family
